Leave land behind as you take to the skies for a 60 minute flying lesson in an Ikarus C42 Bravo

Take to the skies for a 60 minute flying lesson and leave land far behind! All the processes and basic manoeuvres you’ll need to learn to pilot the aircraft yourself will be demonstrated by your expert instructor at Durham Airfield. When you’re fully prepared it’s your turn to take the reins, don’t worry though your instructor will be right there by your side for support and guidance. There is no need for your aviation adventure to end here as you can put the time from this lesson towards your pilot’s licence.

You will be greeted by your instructor at Durham Aerosports and led through a safety briefing and tutorial before you can take control and fly an Ikarus C42 Bravo.

This voucher is valid for 10 months for one person and includes a 60 minute flight experience on an Ikarus C42 Bravo with a full safety briefing and tutorial. This experience is available week round, 9am to 7pm, year round. Minimum age is 14 years, maximum weight is 18 stone. This experience is not suitable if you suffer from vertigo, epilepsy or if you’re pregnant. You are advised to wear comfortable clothes and to allow two hours for this experience. All dates are subject to availability.

Upon purchasing this Land Away Flying Lesson voucher it must be activated by either you or the recipient before it can be used. You can only book in the Land Away Flying Lesson experience at the venue if the voucher has been activated. Please do not turn up at a venue expecting to be able to redeem this voucher without first activating it. Upon activation you will be sent a pin number and unique reference plus the contact details of the venue in order to make your reservation.
